About Us

We are an FRC robotics team based out of Community High School. We are student-run, with sub-teams that each deal with specific subjects/fields. While winning is fun, the goal of competing is to challenge ourselves and to grow and learn as a team. Our participants learn important skills for emerging industries such as business and marketing, programming, engineering and CAD design, and fabrication skills.

Each of our sub-teams (business, fabrication, electrical, programming, and engineering) is run by a student leader. Our team also features two student team captains that help organize and run the team. Our robots are designed, built, and fundraised by students.

Our unique high school's mission states: "Community High School is a rigorous academic college preparatory magnet school that encourages students to use the entire community as a resource for study and fosters the development of independent learners who practice personal and social responsibility as they prepare for their post-secondary experience." As robotics team members, we seek to continue the tradition of using resources beyond our school walls to develop our students and help the world.

Our mission is to empower Community High School students through participation in the FIRST Robotics Competition. As a student-run team, we are dedicated to fostering essential skills in leadership, business, marketing, programming, engineering, design, and fabrication. We challenge ourselves to grow, learn and problem-solve as a diverse and inclusive team. We look beyond our school walls for resources to foster independent learners who practice personal and social responsibility.

We believe that everyone has the potential to succeed in robotics, and we strive to spread awareness and enthusiasm for technical fields. Our goal is to ensure that every participant feels valued and confident, encouraging them to let their voices be heard while gaining lifelong skills for college and career readiness. Robotics team members seek to continue the CHS tradition of using all available resources to help our students help the world.
